You join dots that glint like the tips of a tantrum
to form alphabets that are onesies dangling
from pink plastic clips of lisped words
fluttering into sentences like shape shifting wind
settling into a sepia memory like winged butterflies
on a flower.
Can we spend some more time, here, together?
~ In response to the Peter's Prompt at dVerse
Lovely first line Preeth 'tips of a tantrum' is so unexpected - I was intrigued - and what a delight to read on - alphabets of onesies; clips of lisped words; - and that final question - I was just reading up on caesura - pauses in a line - like the commas in that question - stretching it out, almost pleading. So good. Thanks so much for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for those kind words, Peter. Your prompt was so enlightening. I did not know about one word poems. Got to read so many interesting poems not just as part of your post but also as part of responses to your post. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the imagery of children to create this vignette on how it can be to simply share a conversation.
